I took Greek for just a year, in graduate school when I was in my early fifties. I loved it, and still use it to dig around in the New Testament (Amazing all the ways that "Kalon" gets translated) and yes, I did pay for it.

Now my high school Latin is of use in reading Swedenborg, and turning it into songs
